Privacy Policy

Version 1.3 · Last updated: September 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Trust ("we") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with trust.events (the "Service"). Contact for all privacy matters: team@trust.events.

1. Information We Collect

You provide: buyer-profile details (name, email, company, city, website, budget band, goals), account information, agency claim/application details, review submissions, and support communications. Automatically: device and usage data, session identifiers, page exposure and conversion events, and cookies described below. Those identifiers are pseudonymous in themselves — they are not your name — but read that together with Section 10: some visits are additionally matched to a business or professional contact record by one of our third-party providers, which can make a visit identifiable to us even when you have submitted nothing. From public sources: business information used to build directory listings and, when you share your website, enrichment extracted from that publicly accessible site (such as its title, description, and published contact details). From partners: attribution confirmations from affiliate programs (not your payment details).

2. How We Use It

To operate the directory and matching service; to share your buyer profile with a small number of matched Agencies (the point of the Service); to run and improve features (including A/B testing, which uses pseudonymous identifiers only); to understand which businesses and professionals are showing interest in the Service and to follow up with them (Section 10); to send transactional and, with consent where required, marketing communications; to detect abuse; and to comply with law. We do not sell personal information for money. Where affiliate-attribution cookies or similar sharing may constitute "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under certain state laws, you may opt out as described in Section 6.

3. Sharing

With matched Agencies (your buyer profile, at your request); with service providers under contract (hosting, database, analytics, communications); with affiliate/partner programs for attribution of clicks you initiate; in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale; and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Public-Source Listings (Notice to Agencies)

Directory listings are compiled from publicly available business information under our legitimate interest in operating a business directory. Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, this Policy serves as our Article 14 notice. An authorized representative may correct or delist a listing at any time via team@trust.events.

5. Business Contact Details (Notice to Owners and Founders)

We hold business contact details for owners, founders and decision-makers (name, work email, company, role, city) from public sources and licensed B2B databases, and we use them to invite that person to business events in their own city and to the room we run there.

Lawful basis: legitimate interests, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f). A named business role, invited to nearby business events, with plain-text removal in every message, is what that person would expect.

Reply "remove" to any message and we delete the record, keeping a suppression entry so we cannot mail you again. We keep records 24 months from last contact. Controller: Free LLC — Series 2 (a registered series of Free LLC, Wyoming), 407 Lincoln Rd 6H-1245, Miami Beach, FL 33139.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EEA/UK under GDPR, and California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Utah, and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising or "sharing," and to not be discriminated against for exercising rights. Submit requests to team@trust.events; we will verify and respond within the period required by applicable law. You may appeal a refusal by replying to our decision. Authorized agents may submit requests where the law provides.

7. Cookies

Essential cookies (session, security), functional cookies (theme, persona preference), analytics/experiment cookies (pseudonymous), and affiliate-attribution cookies set by partner programs when you follow an affiliate link. Browser controls let you limit non-essential cookies, and the privacy notice shown on the site carries a switch that turns our analytics and session recording off for the device you are using. Note what that switch does not cover: the visitor identification described in Section 10 is matched by a third party rather than set by a cookie, so opting out of it is a request to us — see that Section.

8. Retention & Security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as law requires, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege service credentials). No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and regulators of breaches as the law requires.

9. Job Applicants

If you apply for a role with us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the video you record, which contains your image and your voice along with whatever you choose to tell us. Applications are collected through the recruiting system we use at the time, and the recordings are held by that system's hosting provider.

We use them for one purpose: assessing your application and contacting you about it. We do not use applicant video to train AI models, we do not run facial recognition or voice identification on it, and we do not derive biometric identifiers from it. A person reviews every application; no automated system rejects anyone.

Because we recruit for more than one independent company and program, your application may be reviewed by and shared with those companies so we can consider you for the role that fits you best. It is not shared with anyone else.

We keep applications for twelve months so we can consider you for later openings, and we delete them sooner the moment you ask. Email team@trust.events to have yours removed. The rights described in Section 6 apply to applicant data in full.

Applying is not an offer and creates no employment relationship. Recruiting is carried out for more than one independent company and program; the one that would engage you is named in the agreement you sign, and it may not be the entity that operates this Service. Nothing in this Section makes those companies affiliates, subsidiaries, or guarantors of one another.

10. Visitor Identification (how we identify website visitors)

When you visit this site we use tracking scripts, cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visit — your IP address, the pages you view, the site you arrived from, and your approximate location; page views and scroll depth; and clicks on any element, copied text, file downloads, exit intent, idle time and video events. We pass that information to our visitor-identification providers, which compare it against their own databases of business contact records. This includes visits where you have not submitted a form.

When you submit a form on this site, these scripts also send the provider what you entered, as typed. Password fields, and fields whose names mark them as card, bank-account or ID numbers, are replaced with asterisks before anything is sent. The provider keeps a hashed (scrambled) copy of identifiers such as your email address for its own matching service.

Where it finds a match we receive personal information about you that you did not give us directly: usually your name, work email address, employer, job title and professional profile links. We use it to understand who is interested in our services and to contact you about them, and we store it in our sales and marketing systems. A provider's own hashed copy is held by that provider under its own terms, separate from what it sends us.

Under some privacy laws this counts as a "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information, or as targeted advertising. You can stop it at any time:

  • Ask us to opt you out, or to access, correct or delete what we hold about you: team@trust.events (subject line "Do not sell or share my personal information"). We honor these requests without asking you to prove anything beyond that the address is yours.
  • Your choices page — [/privacy/choices](/privacy/choices) — carries the analytics switch and this request route, and is linked from the footer of every page.
Plain English: you can land here, type nothing, and we may still end up with a good guess at which company you work for. We would rather tell you that than have you find out when we email you.

While the site is private, this runs on the password gate — the page you reach before entering anything — so it applies to visits that never get past it. It is separate from the analytics switch described in Section 7: that switch is stored in your browser and stops our own analytics and session recording, whereas this matching happens on the providers' side and is stopped by asking us.

11. International Transfers, Children, Changes

Data is processed in the United States with appropriate safeguards for transfers where required. The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Material changes to this Policy will be posted with at least 30 days' notice where required; the "Last updated" date governs.
